Here’s what I submitted to the DVLA to get it re-classified as a motor caravan.

Seats and table

The middle row of seats may be folded forwards to provide a fixed table (shown with indentations for drinks, etc.)  The front two seats have rear footrests that can be swivelled to provide rear-facing seats as shown.  This also shows the side access to the living accommodation (additionally the rear door opens to provide access).

Sleeping accommodation

The front and middle rows of seats fold flat to form a bed, and we use special memory foam mattress toppers to make it even more comfortable.  There is an additional sleeping area in the pop-up roof.  The sleeping areas provide beds that exceed 1800mm in length.

Cooking and storage facilities

The cooking facilities are provided by this permanently-bolted kitchen unit from Clearcut Conversions.  It features twin gas hobs, a tap with electric pump, 10 litres fresh water, 10 litres waste water, gas regulator, storage space and a 12V electrical point.
